Common Causes of Indoor Flooding

Indoor flooding can cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to your home, and it's a nightmare to clean up. How can we help you save money? Well here are a few common places where indoor flooding may occur, so make sure you check them all every now and then.

First common cause for indoor flooding is having a Full Septic Tank/Clogged Drainpipes. Our homes can flood so easily if our septic tank is too full, not allowing for good drainage or if the drain pipe is clogged. Keep an eye out for signs that your water is draining to slowly. This will alert you to an impending problem.

Second place where indoor flooding may occur is in the Debris Fill Rain Gutter. If you have any leaks in your basement walls, then heavy rainfall mixed with debris filled rain gutters is a flooding concern and you should have your concrete repaired and your gutters routinely cleaned.

Third location is a Leaking Water Heater. Leaks in a water heater, depending on the causes, can lead to major problems and ultimately complete failure of your tank. The water supply is endless as tanks are designed to continue to fill. That's a great deal of water running through your house, especially if you're not home to stop it.

Clogged Sink Drains is the fourth common place where indoor flooding occurs. If you have a house that is prone to flooding, you may want to consider installing a sump pump, especially if the ground your house is built on has a high water table. However, if flooding does occur, use professionals for the cleanup to avoid long term problems such as mold, rot and odor problems.

Lastly, the fifth common place where indoor flooding may occur is in the Faculty Washing Machine Hose. You probably don't give much thought to the supply hose of your washing machine. However, if this hose breaks, you may have extensive water damage to your home. Be sure that you replace older hoses or hoses that have deteriorated.

The longer water is allowed to stand, the more severe the damage will be. You must respond to a flooding crisis quickly and efficiently. Making sure that there is order in all of these places can save you a great amount of money. We hope the information is useful to you,

Thanks for staying tune,
